Jan: Fujinon ZA12X4.5BERM with HPX500?

Are there any drawbacks to using this (Fujinon ZA12X4.5BERM) lens with the HPX500? Is there any loss of functionality with the camera? Specifically CAC, etc.

Has anyone seen this note before it's on that Panasonic link:

[SIZE=-1]*1 NOTE[/SIZE]
[SIZE=-1]- Please note that CAC function does not start working until rotating the Focus and Zoom rings from the end to end once, after switch ON the camera-recorder. This action is required to get precise positioning information from the lens.


That would be for the standard Canon 17ex7.6. If that's true we've been shooting for two years with CAC working sometimes and not others...

That is relevant only to the 2000 series and up.
