Jan Crittenden, I just saw a video of you at NAB 2005 (an iTunes podcast!)...

...in which you speak of the limits of the HDV codec (e.g., background artifacts while panning/following a subject).

I confess I didn't understand it all. But I think it would be incredibly valuable if you or your team could post footage showing what it was that you were talking about.

Doable?

With thanks,

Panasonic has a two-disk DVD set that covers the HVX200 and P2, one disk contains a video called "HVX200 Countdown", a music video shot with the HVX200, WMV HD videos, the manual for the camera, P2 whitepaper etc., and the second disk contains P2 video for testing the workflow in your NLE.

The video about the HVX200 does cover the advantages of the DVCProHD codec and how it differs from HDV. You may want to try to get a hold of this if there is an authorized Panasonic broadcast equipment dealer in your area.
