James Bond Films

Dalton rocked. He was, easily, the truest to Fleming's character.

And "The Living Daylights" was one of the better films.

So true. Generally the films aren't much like the books though, especially now!

Like I said, I would like to see a more mature, sinister Bond film, that could actually suspend your disbelieve.

Don't personally feel it's a big issue to make Bond younger. Just not SO young that he's labeled a rookie. But it's obvious he would be younger for the simple fact that it was the first novel. I remember in the first early stages of talks for Casino Royale, Quentin Tarantino expressed a deep interest in directing. Sadly that went away. He would if anything have given it the needed edge. Oh well. My 2 sents are spent. And as much as I like Clive Owen as a possible Bond, it won't happen. at least not with this film.

I always preferred the Sean Connery Bond - suave and sophisticated, but the franchise definately needs to be revamped. I like the idea of a darker Bond, with a low down villan. Now that would be a fun flick!

Agreed. I just realized that my initial post could be taken as a slam against Dalton. I thought he was a great Bond, but the majority of the audience didn't. Just sitting the record straight in case Timothy Dalton is a lurker here.

I love the series, but it does need revamping. They still spend too much time setting up the MacGuffin. Get the f##k on with it. If they get a "younger, hipper" Bond, they need to get a younger, hipper director. I vote for Guy Ritchie.

its a mistake to make a younger Bond.

We all like bond because he is so allknowing cool sopisti.. wise. Lets face it we all wanna be Bond.

A younger Bond will take away the magic.

What they do need is a talanted NONHIPP director. With guy ritche its gonna be to much cameramovement and that type of stuff.

One of my favourite directors is Christopher Nolan. He saved the Batman franchise, he could save the bond franchise.

And Dalton is the best Bond. :)

Yeah Nolan would be interesting. I'll do it too if they want, after I finish my current project.

Hey, what's with the lol? I could do a better job that the last load of tripe they turned out!

Not for one second do I doubt your abilities.

I just found the timing of the line funny. Of course, it's possible that I don't have a basic understanding of comedy. :undecided

He is SO annoying, really bad idea! Has anyone else noticed Jamie Bell now speaks with an American accent - what a dick.

WAAHHTT??!! YOUNG JAMES BOND??!! WTF!?

if hollywood makes that a movie...im seriously gonna get madd pissed off...James Bond cant be a teenager...its not rite...they need a dude whos like 38-45...whos got style and who talks english madd coool..meaning sound cool.

Daniel Radcliffe is a little ***** who plays with little hocus pocus wands and rides broomsticks...let him stick to the little boy fantasy role...not bond. He definitly cant play a James Bond character..maybe he can be the evil henchmans little ''pet'' or something...but thats it...hollywood reallyyy needs is Brosnan back...
