Jagged and choppy lines after export DV AVI

Original footage captured from DVX looks great (avi viewed in Real, Quicktime, Nero, WMV etc).

Edit the avi (or even leave it untouched) and export from PP1.5 as a dv avi (or any other codex---I’ve tried everything) and there is an extremely noticeable decrease in quality where diagonal lines on the screen look chopped up.

Anyone know if there a way to keep the high quality after export? Does Gary’s book discuss this? (I’ll be his next customer if so….) Thanks!

hey wasssup, simple lil thing

looks like you dont like interlaced images...

do a search on google on deinterlacing

i'm not sure what system and programs you use but there are many ways to get rid of this

nope. done that (or at least think I have).

Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5

Export Movie Settings > Keyframe and Rendering > Deinterlace Video Footage.

Also tried > Always Deinterlave > on Field Options for each clip.

it's barry's book, it almost looks like your resolution is set to low or something, I don't use premiere pro though?
