I have two separate wireless follow focus units up for sale. The first one is Version 1 of the Jag35 WEFF. It includes everything you need to operate it with the wireless controller or with the included thumb wheel. There are two lens motors, the original and the improved model for higher torque lenses. The receiver/motor and transmitter operate off of Canon LPE6 batteries. Two batteries and a charger are included.
The second unit is Version 2 of the Jag35 WEFF. Version 2 has improved electronics, quieter operation and easier calibration. The battery pack to power the receiver is built into the unit saving space. The cable between the receiver is a Lemo which is much more robust than the 1/8" stereo jack of Version 1. The receiver/motor and transmitter operate off of Canon LPE6 batteries. Two batteries and a charger are included. This unit does not include a thumb wheel.
I've used each unit with Canon and Zeiss lenses and they worked great. Both motors from Version 1 and 2 should support higher torque cine lenses. I can't promise it will work with every lens you own, but the WEFF units themselves run great. Neither of them are silent. Version 2 is quieter than Version 1 as they enclosed the motor in Version 2. If you're recording audio on camera or within a few feet of the motor, it may be picked up. If you are more than 3 or 4 feet away the audio should be clean.
These are great for DSLR shooters and anyone on a budget who is looking for an inexpensive wireless follow focus. I've used them on a jib, Glidecam, tripod, etc. These are no longer sold by Jag35 so this is the last place you'll be able to get them. Most other units cost several thousand dollars.
I'm asking $1000 shipped CONUS for Version 1 and $1300 shipped CONUS for Version 2. Please email me at tony@nextwavedv.com if you're interested. PayPal payments only.
