Saw Jackass 2 tonight, & that stupid a$$ movie used DVX100b's through out that flick!!

Don't want to give the plot away, but there was this one scene where a cameraman was throwing up while holding a DVX100b in his right hand!

Panasonic should use a screen grab from that in their print ads! :thumbup:

- all in all it was an alright movie. You need to see the 1st one in order for this one to make sense though.:huh:

If you two think my review is serious, then you guys might find Jackass 2 as confusing as Mulholland Drive! :)

Well actually I was serious about the DVX100b being in the puke shot & throughout the production. The rest was my attempt @ being funny. :)
 
rcbrown23, I'm sure you heard this before but I always thought you look like Ben Affleck!

& no, that's not another attempt by me to be funny!:)

I agree 100%! Everytime one would show up on the screen I'd be nudging my friend & say "a DVX" or "that's the camera I use!" :)
 
Yes, I went and saw it tonight as well. They did use a ton of DVX's as well as the HVX (can be seen in Johnny Knoxville's rocket skit) as well as some betacam and 35mm for the opening and closing sequences. I love that!

Haha, I do the same exact thing whenever I see a DVX being used in something.

Probably the funniest movie I've ever seen. A girlfriend and I used to watch the show, enjoyed it; never had a desire to see the first movie - still haven't - and I felt I had to see this one.

I went in (11:30pm showing last night) and I was so bothered by the crowd. I like silence in theaters. The movie started and it was the greatest theater experience ever. The audienced being loud and groaning and clapping together, the cheering.....it was great. I was seriously dissappointed when it ended, and I swear I could have easily gone for another 2-3 hours.

Not my usual cup of tea, but incredible. Riveting.

Haha, it would have been easier to tell if you didn't type it. heh. Im just hoping the male nudity is a lot lower than the last one. Please tell me it is.
 
well, you get to see wee-man nude... anyways, the DVX's ROCKED! my buddies got real annoyed by me nudging them proclaiming that it was the camera I use.

Just got back from the movie. I was doubled up laughing the whole time. My wife says that the female viewer is likely to laugh about half as much as the male viewer. But, I swear I caught her about to wet herself a couple of times. Lucky she doesn't read the forum or she would slap me in the nuts. O ****. I gave away a surprise twist to the movie ... nut slaps.

Anyways, the footage from the DVX on the big screen looked really good. I mean, it was very inferior when compared to the grand finale, which was shot on film. But, for the price difference, the DVX really showed itself. Awesome.
 
yeah, Spike's got some serious talent with those 35mm's and film in general. You guys should check out the opening shots in the Girl video "Yeah Right". All overcranked skateboard shots, and there's a cool sequence where they composited out the skateboards so the skaters looked like they were floating on air, shot on film with motion control. Sorry for the rant, HUGE Spike Jonze fan!!!

I do the same thing. Or when I hear a show/film is shot w/ the DVX I always make a note to tell people about it. When I found out that It's Always Sunny in Philly was shot w/ it, I told everyone I knew.

But since this is about Jackass 2, the movie looks really funny and I want to see it even more now.

I heard that the show on mtv, Wild Boyz is shot w/ the DVX.
