haha ... well we'll see. This is intended to be my second simplest since Shed, but I'm going nuts trying to find a location and a few other things. Also having difficulty getting the script so that I'm happy with it, though I'm pretty stoked about the story.PK Gillock said:Jack, how do you keep coming up with this stuff? This thing already looks amazing. That poster is a work of art. I wouldn't want it hanging on my wall, but it's incredible. If your film has the same tone then we're all in for one heck of a ride.
Can't wait!

Hey JD, I was wondering if there were any sources you turn to for developing your stories. At the bootcamp you talked a bit about the process you go through to develop your stories and was wondering if there was a book or something you would suggest on what makes a story really good and complete.
Personally, I think your shorts are some of the most compelling because of their substance. Technically your films are great, but you never forsake story, and that's what I really appreciate about your films. Any suggestions?

thanks mantshark said:hey man. After seeing your stuff at the bootcamp, I gotta say you got a lot of talent: You know how to tell a story with a good script and also with great acting and great cinematography. Keep up the great work and I hope to battle you in the rankings at the horror fest!

No I haven't, but I'll check it out ... thanks for the heads up :thumbsup:vislaw said:Jack, thanks for the chart and insight. I was wondering if you've looke d at Crafting Short Screenplays That Connect by Claudia Johnson. Her thesis is that too many writers are slaves to creating conflict, as opposed to working on scripts that "connect." Your comment about working a script until it resonates for you personally emphasizes the value of connection.
Anyway, thanks for sharing all of this. I'm truly enjoying your thread and am extremely anxious to see Rekindled.
Thanks and I'll do my best, we gotta shoot something ... hopefully I'll have script excerpts and pre-vis stuff up soon though.RDragonFilms said:Thank you for visiting our thread : )I got a chance to look at most everyone elses todays and with yours added I deffinatly can't wait to see what everyone doee.
