J-Rod mic mount for hpx/hvx?

Did your Wireless receiver not come with a shoe-mount? You should have already been able to mount that (unless you are already using the shoe mount on your camera for something else). There's all different kinds of shoe mounts that allow for extra mounts, this one seems legit. Do some research.
 
I have one. Was a little dissapointed at first. It's a tiny piece of metal that doesn't look like its worth the price and i was having troubles mounting a shotgun mic and wireless reciever together on my HVX. I wanted to mount the mic on top and have the reciever mounted on the side but there wasn't enough clearence on the side for the reciever as the HVX has that handle bar which sticks out a bit. In the end i had to swap them around so now the mic shockmount is mounted on the side with the reciever on top. Now i have the problem of not having enough room to mount my Ikan monitor on the original hot shoe. I just wish there was a simple solution. Will post pics later if u need.
 
You can still stick your wireless at the bottom of the camera with velcro or on the handle strapp, that's what I do, depending of the situation.
 
Hi Lkorver.
There are many people that have purchased The SSTM for the HPX170 and love it. You will no longer be tethered to your camera! If you order and for some reason decide that the mount is not right for your work style you can always return it!
