iZotope RX Loudness Control

Hmmmm....

I generally quite like iZotope products - and I use them. But I have not used this one.
I'd bet it helps, but nothing (yet) can really do that without missing sometimes or without audible compression artifacts.

Perceived loudness will so often be very different from what meters tell us.

But if anyone could do this - I suppose iZotope would be a good candidate.

I'm going to look into it.

This is to help people that have to meet the new "loudness" standards that are based on LUFS. For film it's not a lot of use but NPR and others have instituted loudness standards and you have to meet a LUFS number. There are peak requirements also but the integrated number takes special metering to get. And it can be a bit of a pain to get into compliance depending on the program since the number is generated in a complex way by looking at the entire sound file.

I've been waiting for this! I'm actually really excited to use this as I have to hit specific integrated loudness values all the time. I've used the Dolby DP600 and Nugen LM-Correct to make broadcast-compliant mixes and while both process the audio very well, I've always been a fan of iZotope.

I've been able to use Izotope products before and have been extremely pleased! Not sure about this individual product, but they make some fine programs. I would say it's a safe bet!
