For the past 2 years I have been shooting small films with a "Hitachi DVD cam" well now... I'm quite sick of the quality... so I wanna upgrade to a DVX 100A, but I want to know.. Is it easy to set the settings? or do you have to set like a million things? or is there pre-set modes or something?

Thanks,

- Josh

It might seem overwhelming, but it's not the number of things you can play with that gets most people, it's figuring out what the best one is for them. I think it's fun figuring it all out:)

I have the 100B - I dont know the specifics of the A - but with the B, there are pre sets that youy can go with that will give you a great picture, then you can concentrate on your exposure, shutter, and focus. Then, as you learn the many different settings you can tweak them as you see necessary. But there is absolutely no NEED to be overwhelmed, but you have that option if you choose it.
