My wife has been after me to do some more of this, so I did.

Music created from images: Pixels -> MIDI notes

Right-click the MP3 link (or whatever your browser requires). They may or may not stream well.

I like the low end, so there might be some rumble. :)

Those are cool!

Those images definatly have a good tonal range! *rimshot*

How did you make those?

In the program, you set the key, scale/mode, and tempo. Then for each track, you pick the instrument, note range, volume range, which color(s) to examine, and a bunch of other stuff. Last, but not least, there are a few different scanning patterns to choose from which decides which pixels to look at.

What is the name of the software?

That is some really neat stuff. Do yourself and the rest of us a facor and do some based off fractle art. If you get it right, it is some of the most interesting stuff I've yet heard.

Ah. Someone who has never clicked the links in my sig. :) "Windows Programs" goes right to the software. "Music" goes to the stuff I've done with it.

I did one fractal (in the samples off the software page).

Mostly I do naked women.

Um...that didn't come out right...

OK. Jumped into fractals again...and then remembered why I prefer flesh. :)

To really get the fractalness of it, it needs to be a single track and a chromatic scale, so each pixel is hit. But that results in, for instance, a piece almost 3 hours long. Or longer, depending.

So, instead of a single track, here are two with 4 and 5 tracks and the C Major scale. They're STILL long. Over 30 minutes each, which is why they're up there as MIDIs instead of MP3s. But they should play all right on any soundcard that has GM MIDI built in. (Although I generally use a SoundFont for the piano. Sounds better than "stock".)
