And I'm at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO! NO! NO! Three months of waiting and it comes and I'm working untill 11pm!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO! Now I'll be up all night poo pooing around. I'll let you guys know what my impressions are.
 
Be happy - most of us are at work and DON'T have an HVX waiting for us at home.

I just called the guys at studio exchange to get a price,

5795 not including p2 cards.

When I told this sales rep that AVS in san diego was offering the camera+ one p2 card for 5600 he said, 'they probably don't know what they're doing. Dealers get the camera for 4900 and the p2 costs 600 so why would you sell a new camera at cost, below market? they're idiots and don't know what they're doing'

I didn't think that it would come with a card but I had my friend open it and there was one in the package! Sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still at work!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!
 
Hey! Maybe all HVX's come with 1 free 4GB card! Any others you order are extras. At least, so far, that seems to be the case for the "2nd shipment". ;-)

Is this a joke? Does anybody really know if this is true or not? Or just wishful thinking .
 
I am trying to figure this out too. I know that those ordering through AVS apparantly got one.. if they ordered within the first numbers, but when i contacted her.. she said it didn't come with a free P2.

Confirmation would be good.. especially if it has been paid for .
 
I was under the impression dealers got "packages" from Pany--which included however many of whichever size card. Dealers then charge what they want for it. I am assuming this accounts for the few LOW prices with a card in the box.

I'd love to be wrong, though!

Not free, but the package price happens to be as low as just an HVX at some other dealers.

Semantics, I suppose, but there you go.
 
I would like to change my tune here. I ordered one from Barbara. the price does come with one Card.. and she is already 300 cheaper than my local dealer for just the camera.. and I get the P2 with it for that price. 5600 for the cam and P2 without sales tax since I'm out of state. She had 4 or 5 spots left... That's a good deal.
