IT'S ELECTRIC!! Voltage Question

I will soon be flying to Costa Rica with my 100B. According to one Internet source, the electricity there is the same as the US: 110 V. Another source also says it's the same as the US: 120 V at 60 Hz.

The DVX manual notes that the unit will operate on 110 or 120, but that an AC plug adapter may be required for voltages other than 120 V. Do you think even if Costa Rica uses 110 V, I will need an adapter? Are they close enough? What does the US use, anyway?

Thanks!

I'm not expert at this but I have wired a room in a house before including connecting everything to a breaker box. I believe that the electricity here runs between 110 and 120 volts. If I am correct you should be able to run on 110 without a voltage issue. The size and shape of the plug could be another issue.

DVX works on anything from 110v to 240v 50Hz to 60Hz without any problems. I am in London with my US bought DVX and it has no problem on the 240v/50Hz power.

I've shot in Costa Rica with my DVX-100a using the AC power.

You have no reasons to worry about anything.

Plug in and shoot away. No adapters needed.

No problem at all. Costa Rica is no that different to the US in technology.....we don't live in trees.... :D... I own a Panasonic DVX100A, it works perfectly. Good luck
