It's back....

I still think its a scam.

Years ago (before internet), a guy advertised in national magazines selling a resurrected electronic product that had been quite popular before it was discontinued.

Turned out to be a mail order scam.

Hard to tell with this one as they are not taking pre-orders or orders at all. No scam if they are not gaining anything. Could be a "joke" though as the site is down now... or it could be down due to overwhelming hits.

i dont get why this is cool. there are already a number of small/fast/powerful/customizable and equally ugly computers available...

It's the nostalgia factor... for those of us that grew up with Commodore it really tugs at the ol' heartstrings, y' know?

Personally, I wish they would give us a new version of the Texas Instruments TI-99 with all those awesome game cartridges!

If it ran the Amiga OS they might have something. I'd love to be able to use some of the great Amiga graphic apps in a modern computer.
...sigh.

It's just a PC in a keyboard. Big deal. Now if it could do 100 double-precision TFLOPs and cost under a grand, well, then you'd have something special.

I dunno...looks like it should have a Compaq logo on it...it's very ugly. It's got a parallel port on it. Is it just me or does it look like this thing is 10-15 years late to the party?
