I have three shoots this weekend using the HVX and two will be shooting direct streaming to FCP. I was worried because I remember the 1200 deck has to be on a different FW bus than the drive to capture properly. I was planning on capturing into FCP through the firewire 400 port and writting to a Wiebetech RT5 raid box on FW800 with a 15" Powerbook, so I wasn't sure if the problem was going to affect this system too. Good news, after a fresh restart, it works great. Thanks to Barry for providing the cam for a quickie test and of course for comming to LA for the shootout in the first place.
Sorry guys, no leaks here, you'll have to wait to hear it from the horses mouth to find out how the shootout went. Sufficed to say my order stands.
