GH3 Issue with GH3 Wifi

I connected Lumix Link on android with the GH3 for the first time yesterday. Everything worked as advertised while connected. However, when I finished I switched off the camera and it got stuck in what appeared to be a sleep state. The power light remained on, and the "Lumix" splash screen remained in the EVF. At that point, the on/off switch did nothing and pressing other buttons didn't wake it up. Had to remove and reinsert the battery.

Has anyone else experience this? I'm wondering if I have a defective unit and need to return it.
 
Had the same problem with my new GH3 - had to remove the battery.
I was not able to get the camera to connect to my Galaxy 2 Note though, the Lumix Link program kept crashing, android 4.1.
 
i experienced a similar lock up on my ipod touch, screen froze, no buttons respond and on/off switch failed to respond. instead of pulling the battery i re-connected to the GH3 on my ipod and then within the GH3 selected terminate wifi session/connection. seemed to bring everything back to life when i re-connected to GH3, maybe the connection has to be terminated GH3 first, then turn off device wifi.
