FS5: Issue importing FS5 slo mo into FCPX

I went to import about 25 clips of 25p HD of which two were 100fps slow motion. FCPX kept crashing when using the import media window. I could import the other clips but not the slo mo. They appeared with an audio icon but no film icon and didn't show any vision. The only way I could import them was to transcode them to prores which then displayed vision in the media import window and then they imported fine. Is that normal?

Unfortunately Apple didn't fix this bug in 10.4.1. The problem still persists. Slow motion clips shot with the paid CBKZ-FS5HFR update still can't be imported through the standard media import dialogue.

Just for the record: Meanwhile I'm running FCPX 10.4.3 on MacOS 10.13.6 and it's still not possible to import slow motion clips shot with the paid CBKZ-FS5HFR update. During the past months I reported this bug to Apple several times (immediately after the OS or FCPX was updated). Any owners of the FS5 MK2 reading this? Can you confirm that your clips shot in continuous slow motion don't work?

Hi,
I have the same issue almost 2 years after your post.
Do you or any one knows if there is a way to solve it and use my slo mo shots in fcpx?
I have fcpx 10.4.8, running on Mac OS 10.15.4.
It is really frostating..
Thanks,
Yaron
