Can someone tell me the default ISO of the DVX 100B ?
I want to synchronize my light meter to the camera. Thanks.

ISO is a pretty vague thing.... I suggest basing your ISO on green channel clipping (as opposed to 18% gray), the camera will come out lower than 320, but thats only because of how you are rating the camera. Simply spot meter on a highlight and bang, your done.

You can't.

Unless you want to work in the vaguest possible terms, in which case you can say that a DVX in normal gamma, 24p or 30p, it's iso 640. In interlaced it's ISO 1280.

But, once you change the gamma, that goes out the window. And it also won't apply at the most wide-open f-stops either, because of the way the microlens on the chips works -- it means f-stops more open than about f/2.0 don't result in linear increases in light as would be expected.

So, in short, a lightmeter can only be used for vague roughing-in of the image, you cannot rely on it exclusively to deliver proper exposure on a video camera like the DVX.
