Is this the missing mock-up?

Check out the rig these guys have worked up. It is pretty much what I am hoping to put together. I'm just trying to figure out how they got the shots. Either they are very well connected, great with photoshop, or we just found the missing prototype from NAB! ;)

It does confirm for me that the camera looks just fine once properly accessorized.

Looks great but gives me a head ache looking at it. Wish they would slow down that animation!!

Seriously the images down the side of the page are excellent to view. I want mine. Now.

Perfect.

That's insane... haha. Seriously, what a cool rig... but you know that's gonna cost crazy $$$. I love how they even have a little custom firestore holder... that's really funny.

I'm definitely going to stick to P2 (I'm just really not a fan of hard drive acquisition), but I love the mattebox, follow focus, HD monitor, et. al. Panny can't get this thing out soon enough!!

Why didn`t I think of using our rods that way...?
This magic-arm monitor/Firestore setup is awesome!
maybe I could attach a little icebox for cooled sodas ;o]

I emailed them for info on the rods. Basically, they are designed to fit any camera. And, they are the manufacturer of the custom Firestore mount and israeli arm. No prices yet. For sale in December, supposedly updated with an IDX battery mount with facilities to connect the Firestore and LCD monitor...

If you look in the LCD screen in the screen shots... That looks like the "Out of the hotel window in Amsterdam" footage that Jan from Panasonic shot. Hmmmmmm?

Guys, Gals,

I was there during the photo shoot. This was with the real deal. These guys are looking to provide a solution. I provided the "model" in anticipation for the resfest.

Cool guys.

Interesting idea. You need to wrap your head around capital expense vs. lease.

Best.

CapEx versus business leasing (how we do it) is worth looking into for major purchases.

Depreciation procedure, equipment taxation and investment considerations change somewhat under an equipment lease, but not to the point where I've ever looked back.

A good leasing company will secure insurance for your new camera as well - for as long as they're financing the purchase anyway!

One important note with equipment leasing programs is that there is almost never a reduction in interest for loans paid down in advance.

Which Marshall TFT is this exactly?!

And the isreali arm reminds me of the one I've seen at EVS! Only that it hasn't got the rod mount of course... ;)
