Is this real Film or just Filters?

[mackfilm]

Not sure if you guys are Coldplay fans, but do you think their music video Violet Hill was filmed on a 16mm or 35mm camera or is it just a bunch of well placed digital filters laid on in post?

Tell me what ya think.

[renegadewill]

It really could be anything. From this youtbe video it is hard to see film or 24p strobing. Coldplay definitly has the money for film.

[Austinv]

I think it might be, why not right?? Coldplay has the money and it looks really good, who knows maybe a HD 35mm adapter set up

[Noel Evans]

Im guessing film.

[Andrew Brinkhaus]

Film. Almost positive.

It largely displays the characteristics of 16mm. Though, this is very hard to decide based on this highly compressed YouTube version.

[Bob Gruen]

You can't tell through all the compression, all we can do is guess.
