Is this quick release plate any good?

I've never owned a quick release system before and I was looking at this acratech one because its not as chunky as the others:

This particular model says its for the GH1 but I can't figure out if that lip faces the front or back, wedging between the LCD and body. What type of quick release will I need to buy in order to use this? Has anyone had any experience with this particular plate and whats your opinion on it? Does it severely block the battery?

Thanks

Thats the other one that I was looking at. Is it as chunky as it appears to be in the pic that 323? Am I able to buy it without the plate if I wanted to mount it to multiple stuff like you?

Also is there any benefit from getting a QR system that uses the tightening knob as apposed to the 323 that uses a lever?

I think that Acratech one requires you also buy the right clamp too, so it won't work with any tripod head without one.

I wish someone would make a GH1 attachment like the Acratech one that
1) eliminates rotation with a lip
2) attaches to any quick release plate (with a 2nd hole for video quick release mounts)
3) extends wider, with a neck strap attachment option, while allowing battery access

Yeah i am trying to figure out what clamp i should be getting through this thread.=)

That particular acratech plate that I posted up is made for the gh1 and shows a lip to stop rotation i assume. I was hoping I could get some feedback from someone already using this plate.
