Is this place LEGIT?

go ahead and try it. they will probably call you after you place the order and tell you that it doesn't come with battery, charger, lens, warranty, etc. and try to get you to buy all these items at rediculously high prices. as soon as you say "no thanks" they tell you that it's not in stock and hang up on you. or maybe they'll simply ship it out and you will get an AMAZING deal....but i doubt it.

It seems a recurring thing that people say "Should I buy this cam from this grey market company, I know it looks fishy, but look at the tripod! And who can beat a FREE wide angle adapter?"

Someone replies "Don't do it man, it's a scam"

Then they say: "HOW DO YOU KNOW!"

actually i did buy something from fotoconnection.com, one of the notorious low price brooklyn dealers. it was a yamaha sound projector which is like a big home theatre speaker. the guy at fotoconnection called and tried to sell me "a bulb" for my projector telling me that it did not come with one. i said, "uhhh, it's not that kind of projector" so he tried to sell me speaker cables. i told him that this is a self contained unit that requires no cable other than what comes with it. he then gave up and went ahead and shipped it out. i got it for $800 which at the time was about $500 below the best buy price. it was the real deal and the unit was all good.

i have heard people gripe about them but my experience was good. maybe it's only because my "sales" guy didn't have a clue and when i stumped him he gave up. maybe give them a try. the current dvx100b price is $2548 + $50 shipping ground.
