Is this normal? - WARNING 2 X LARGE IMAGES

Grading some footage I was viewing at 1080 I noticed what appears to be some macro blocking on almost every shot. Anyone else noticed this? Its effecting my grades from Color when I bring them back to FCP.

First is original - second is turning mids/whites up and blacks down to highlight the areas that are effected.

Any advice around this would be great. Could this be a result of particular settings? BIG images. Youll note the whites and blacks are clean, whilst the mids arent. I had this same thing on the V1.

Wanted to add that the noise component is pretty common in anything Ive seen - I am referring to the blocks.

Looks to me that you need more light in the scene. I haven't experienced blocking since I owned the HVX200.

Did you look at it on a waveform?

Compared this to footage across a few cams and results were pretty similar. Ive worked around it in Color. Solved my own issue.
