I've shot some live gun fire scenes. And now I'm just getting paranoid so that's why i'm asking this lol. I want to know for sure if the audio recording system inside the DVX100b has been compromised or not. How do I know?
I turned my camera on, and the audio meter works OK when I snap my fingers or talk.
I put on a pair of headphones so I can hear the sound... and in a fairly quiet small room, with the audio gain control switch set in the middle and the Automatic Level Control set to off, I hear sound noise.
Now, I don't remember if it was like that when I first got the camera or not. Can someone tell me, if they put on good quality headphones and set the audio switch on the middle, is it normal to hear sound noise on the on camera mic?
