Is this a good deal

I found a guy in town in the classifieds who has this:

Canon GL-2 used less than 10 hours.
Tripod w/ fluid head (unknown brand)
Canon wide-angel lens
2 Canon BP 945 batteries
1 Kata video bag
Tripod dolly
ATR-25 shotgun mic
Mic pole w/ cables and extensions
2 light poles
bescor twin video light w/ battery pack
Teffin steady stick.

Price is $1700.

Is this a good deal?

The ATR-25 is pretty much worthless; so is the tripod dolly I think. The tripod likely doesn't have a real fluid head if it's an unknown brand. The boompole is probably a good value depending on how long it is (you want a minimum of 9 ft., preferably 12 ft. or longer). I've never heard of the Teffin stick but it's probably similar to one of those $14 stabilizer.

In short, a lot of junk, but if the camera and the battery is good then it's not a bad deal.

kids are always selling gl2s on skateperception.com my friend bought a gl2 with a century optics mk2 fisheye lense, backpack, etc. for 1800 shipped! this thing had about 50 hours of use. he bought it and sold the lense for 550 so pretty much 1700 isnt bad at all but deffinatly check out sp if you want to save a buck or two
