Is This A Good Buy?

Alright, so bear with me. I just started learning about all the new camera's and equipment (I've been a DVX100 bubble for a long time). Anyways, the hopes is to buy an HPX170 evantually. But i want a letus 35mm adapter with it. I found a guy who's willing to sell me his used letus extreme (nikon mount) with indifocus rails for 1000 Canadian. Thats about 910 dollars american. Good deal? He says its in wel kept condition. Is there anything else i need to know about it before i buy it? Thank you for your help
 
Thats a good deal I sold my old one with the hvx opt. glass for $1000 USD. If you get a chance, play with it before you buy, some of the motors I have heard have been weak and needed to be replaced.
 
I'd go ahead and say that it is a solid deal. But see if you can't get him to include any extra cost like shipping or paypal fees. Also see if you can get any recent test footage he's shot on it. Cross reference him as a seller if possible and even try and get a phone number so you can talk to him at least. And you can usually trust Canadians hahaha, good luck with your purchase.
 
Thanx for the feedback. As for shipping charges and what not, there wont be any because its a local deal. So i kind of lucked out i guess. I did ask him to see some footage he shot with it, and he sent back the footage. Everything looks great, ill be meeting up with him tomorrow to buy it. Thanx again you guys. Look forward to utilizing this forum more often.
