Is there anyway to self delete a post?

[Mattykins]

This might be a stupid question. Actually - I am sure it is.

But in the event you were to want to delete a thread you created, or a post you made - how do you go about doing so? The only thing I can manage to do is delete the text within the thread but not delete the thread as a unit itself.

Am I an idiot or is that only a moderator privilege?

I'd imagine only a mod could delete it.

You can easily delete a post. I did so today. You can't delete a thread.

Just hit "modify" after you have posted, then delete.

MODS are GODS man.
Their like agents with matrix like skills
Like from the hit tv series Hawai 5-O.

just go to modify and then advanced. if you started the thread, and no one else posted in it yet, when you delete your post, the whole thread will, of course, go away.

otherwise, you will delete your post.
