...to make it so that EVF Detail is always on? I always turn it on, and it seems like a waste of user button that I could be using for something more useful, like Push AF.
Unfortunately no. This is one of my biggest gripes about the HMC40, is that you pretty much have to always waste a user button on EVF DTL.
(and hey, if that's my biggest gripe, that's pretty minor)
But yeah, it seems so obvious that it should just "remember" the on/off setting, but it doesn't. I just stick EVF DTL on one of the user buttons and ignore the idea of having three user buttons, you have two and an EVF DTL button...
