Is there any use of 1gig SD memory card?

I searched the threads but didn't find what use you got with the an sd memory card. I looked in the manual and it says its for saving settings, but is that the only stuff the hvx200 use sd memory cards for, i dont need like 1 gig.
 
It doesn't need to be large at all if its just for user settings/scene files.
I was going to use an old 16Mb card I had but it wasn't recognised. The smallest card I could buy was a 128MB card for 10UKP. Overkill for a couple of line of text really. The guy in the shop gave me strange looks when I kept on asking for something smaller....

I believe there are other uses for the SD card (clip metadata stuff) but I've not got that far yet.
 
I just used one from my wifes camera.
Did the trick and re-formated once back in the cam.
I wonder if she needed those photos???
 
You can find the smaller SD cards cheap on eBay for like $4 a card (with shipping). I bought 2 recently this way after hearing about the fps adjustment trick.
