I went to a wedding for work! I started watching the tapes and i realized that:" The sound volume sometimes was very low and some other was very loud! " IS there any option that the dvx100B has, in order to set the audio levels in auto???? answer me plz it is very important!

THNX!

Not possible on a DVX or HVX.

The only thing even remotely like that is the automatic limiter. But no, no auto level control.

I have been using the DVX for event work for the past 2 years, give or take.

this was very annoying at first. you have to always have your eye on your audio levels in the lcd. what has worked best for me is if you're within say 10-15 feet of a band or DJ's PA system, your levels should just be hitting into the red area. if you are further away, have them hitting into the middle of the red.

again, this is what ahs worked for me, you may find yourself liking a little more one way or the other.

but while you are looking through your lcd, never let those levels leave your attention. make them part of the scene you are shooting. remember sound volume and quality changes as you move around those dance floors.

Have your fingers on the audio when you think you need to. Say your donig a ceremony, then people clap, you gotta be ready for that. So have the audio loud if the guy is talking saying a speech and what not, then when you vibe/sence that there is clapping coming (the speech is coming to an end) get ready to turn em down...then edit it in post to get them the same levels

if you are using 1 audio source for both channels it's always nice to have 1 channel lower than the other. So if you clip, you won't clip on both channels. If you have 2 sources i would suggest using a limiter.
