is there a remote for gh2

Something that would allow you to control functions like record, playback, maybe iso, shutter etc?

Kurt -- As far as I know, the only way to remotely control playback (but not recording) is through the HDMI-based VIERA link system which allows control of GH2 playback through a VIERA Link equipped Panasonic TV's remote control. Unless you already have a Panasonic VIERA TV, this is a pretty expensive way to get remote playback (cheapest is ~$250 for the soon-to-be-released 19" 720p Viera LED TV).

If all you want is wireless shutter, you can get one from Rainbow Imaging for $33 ($75 with intervalometer from StudioHut).

This is one of the few places where Canon is better out of the box. With my T2i, I could remotely control almost every camera function from my laptop USB port with OEM-provided software included with the camera, and there were plenty of third party wired and wireless remote control solutions.

Cheers,

Bill

It's been a few month, any change to this situation? I'm looking for a way to remotely control video record and playback on the GH2.
