Before anyone berates me I have checked the site...numerous times and have not found a workflow using InstantHD with squeeze mode workflow. I checked redgiant and found there process but it doesnt go into specific detail on my personal situation. I shot a portion of a music video and have been testiing the uprezz functions of InstantHD and I get a good picture when I render but it cuts off the video?? for some reason when I'm outputting the size is still listed at 720 x 480 (or whatever that is) so i'm guessing thats the problem BUT instantHD or after effects isnt giving me the option (or I havent found it) to output at hd resolution?

basically i just wanna know if anyone has a step by step workflow for someone who shot in 24pa/16:9 squeeze mode and has used instant HD for uprezzing with good results.

If there is a thread I missed, please point me in that direction. I saw the guys 'sticky' taht used photozoom pro but its all 4:3 letterbox and photozoom , which I am not using.

any help would be appreciated.

btw, is InstantHD more used in premiere pro? maybe because I'm outputtin g thru AE cs3 .. maybe thats the problem.. I dont know..

I would like to know the same as well.

I always woundered how good the InstandHD works so any footage would be great to look at too.

hey ryvac I did contact ozan about that meth movie and he said he had it professionally done at a transfer house in vancouver. sooo that explains his great quality.. dammit I didnt wanna sell my dvx yet!! lol guess the hvx is gonna be calling me sooner than I thought!

oh well, I just bought 50 dvd's to burn and test.. if I have to go thru all of em, I will !! I'm gonna find the best quality with my baby dvx until he's gone!

that's good to know
yeah that must be the trick, the METH trailer looked way to cool for an DVX...

if you are upgrading to the HVX, does that mean your not happy with the DVX anymore?
I always think the HVX is a great camera but the DVX has a sertant look that the HVX doesn't have and I've always been happy with this baby.

no , not at all.. I love my dvx! its just all this HD talk is getting to me, i guess. I'm not usually swayed by what the 'crowd' says but I am bout to get laid off, I am moving into the videography biz full time and I dont wanna be upstaged by HD over SD. Plus since the HVX shoots 24p HD I guess , technically its the dvx with HD ...am I wrong??

anyway, I'm still on my HD quest! withe dvx that is..

oh yeah, that makes sense.
if you are going into the videography biz you should definetly get HD.
it's just a good sales point to other people.
however, most people don't care/know about the tecnical term of HD so I'm sure they won't care what formate you shoot on.
so maybe the HMC150 might be a better choice for you?

Hey guys just like you said..If it means getting sleepless nights to get the image right then insomnia here i come!Love my dvx
