Is there a newer EX1 firmware to the 1.11 version?

Hey all,

I will be officially joining the ranks of the EX1/EX3 folk soon!

My EX1 is currently being serviced and has been at Teaneck,NJ for over two weeks! Anyway, I was told I needed a new firmware upgrade when I had the 1.11 already on the camera. Am I missing something?

Since I'll be planing to use the K&S solution I'd rather not upgrade to a newer firmware since I know the 1.11 has worked with K&S.

Any of you out there have a newer firmware other than 1.11 please let me know. And if you do and use a K&S type solution and have newer firmware than 1.11 please post.

Thanks for that Perrone. I had thought so. I declined the $100 firmware upgrade. :)
 
If there is a newer firmware out than our well known 1.11 we need to keep an eye on new cameras as they ship. It won't take long before Sony starts shipping cameras with the later firmware (assuming it does exist and the tech wasn't confused) and at that time XxS can be tested on it to see if it still recognises it.
