Is there a Mac version of the AVCHD Cam utility?

Just tried to import footage, the utility is for pc only... is there a mac version online somewhere? How are you guys importing to FCP? Thanks!

Possibly, I'm sure that could work. I'm just wondering if there's a patch out or a mac version of the transfer software available for the AVCHD codec similar to the XDCAM transfer software that unwraps the native files into quicktime, been looking around online but haven't found anything promising. I'll keep lookin!:shocked:
 
I got some good advice handbrake, clipwrap, maybe streamclip and some others read a thread called FS100 for Dummies

I used clipwrap for 24p footage this weekend, worked perfect (to ProRes 422). Didn't try and other framerates.
