GH2 Is there a huge difference between f/3.5 and f/2.8?

There's little difference between 3.5 and 2.8. The difference is barely over 1/2 of one f-stop.

ISO 640 vs. ISO 1000. That sounds like a big difference to me. Especially for the ETC mode.

I think "really ugly" is a stretch.

I have to admit though, bokeh is certainly more subjective than sharpness (which the 20mm has in spades).

Being from the Toland School of Deep Focus, all 'bokeh' is ugly to me... I do 'accept' it under very limited circumstances, but otherwise, would stop down to minimize 'fuzz' in the background/foreground, and thereby eliminate 'bokeh' mostly. Leaving only the occasional light source in the shot, which should be avoided anyway... as the only occasion...

Macro photography being perhaps the only circumstance...
