Is the PMW-EX1 XDCAM EX really progressive, or is it a fake progressive as with the Z1?

Good! I guess this is a first for Sony (aside from the $100K models)! I wonder what happened to their rigid mentality of "1080i is the only way to go for HD"? 720 and true progressive... what a change for them! I guess the market is really bending the Sony oak tree.

Hmm, Pretty sure the V1 was true progressive.
Their F330 and F350 are progressive as well, and the F900R has a list of $80,000, not $100k.

The V1 is true progressive as well. The XDCAM EX is higher resolution, bigger CMOS chips and has variable frame rates. You can choose frame rates in 50 or 50 htz.
