Is the Manfrotto 504 HD Head good for the AF100?

Hello,

I am in the market for a new tripod head for my libec ls-22dv legs (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/688462-REG/Libec_LS_22DV_LS_22DV_2_Stage_Aluminum_Tripod.html)

It seems like I can put the Manfrotto 504HD (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/683559-REG/Manfrotto_504HD_504HD_Fluid_Video_Head.html) on the Libec legs. Anyone use the Manfrotto 504 HD with the Panasonic AF100? Do you like it?

I have it and I like it. Smooth and it seams to be a good match for the AF.

I'd invest in a Satchler FSB-6 or FSB-8 instead
504HD might be okay, but it won't ever perform like a true fluid head

I hear you. I would love to but that would break the budget.

also something to consider, manfrotto is suppose to release (guessing NAB) a 509HD which is the bigger version of the 504 with a dedicated 100mm ball. i am waiting to see the specs and price on that head.

Really? Wow! Great info. Though I need a tripod by the end of April. That would be tight. Also 100mm ball would mean I need to buy a new head and legs. That would hurt the budget big time again.
