Just curious -- I've been reading about the respective merits of AVCHD vs DVCProHD and AVC-Intra. I became curious when reading about Panasonic's just-released AC160 and HPX250.
Bitrate aside, if one's workflow involved transcoding to Prores or DNxHD, does the distinction between these three codecs really matter? I've been reading about things like multi-generational fidelity of DVCProHD and AVC-Intra and how it holds up better "downstream." But I would think that moving to these other FCP and Avid codecs would make this distinction less important. Am I correct to assume this?
