Is the HPX170 8 bit or 10 bit?

HVX doesn't have SDI output so that's not a relevant question.

8-bit SDI output is not as good as 10-bit. It's better than not having SDI, of course, but the Canon XLH1 and XHG1 and the HPX500 and HPX170 all use 8-bit SDI output. The newer cams like the HPX300 and EX1 have full 10-bit output.

I'd rather have 8-bit HD-SDI over analog component any day. But I'd rather have 10-bit over 8-bit, as would anyone.

When is the HPX200 do? Later this summer? That should be 10-bit, full 1080p, to AVC Intra...

What HPX200? Is that a typo related to the HPX300? Because the 300 is already shipping.
