GH2 Is the GH2 a good addition to the HMC-150? How do the colors match?

I have been reading up on the GH2. Still new to all the information about this camera, but it looks to be a good deal.
How does the video compare between the GH2 and the HMC150? If I were to use both cameras on a job, would the color or anything need to be fixed much in editing, or is it a close match? Lets say both were in automode.

And I hope you excuse me for asking, I am still reading all the GH2 posts.
How long can you record on the GH2? Until the card is full?

And it is true, that if I buy the right adapters or converters, I can use different lens, older lenses from other brands?
I have a Nikon D80 with lenses, and would love to use those.
And image quality, would it be equal or better to the D80.

I am glad I came across this camera, and I hope it will be a good fit.
Thank you

I use my HMC150 and GH2 in combination for projects regularly and I think that if you use them correctly, they match very well. I shoot my GH2 on the most neutral settings so I can color grade in post to match the color of my HMC. What really makes them look apart is your lens'. When I use my kit 14-42mm lens, They both look close, GH2 more smooth and cinematic still. When I use my old Minolta 45mm f2.0 lens, there is a huge difference. The image is much softer and the colors are different. This is mainly because it is such a cheap lens and not so sharp wide open... Im sure that with nicer lens, like Nikon, they would match better. Here is a sample I did recently with both cameras:

Your correct, you can record on the GH2 (as long as the hack is installed) until your card is full.

With the right adapters you can attach your Nikon glass to the GH2. With the image quality, I can't say much there as I havent compared the two, but the GH2 does have better looking specs.

One of the major differences between the two is the resolved detail in 1080p. The GH2 (especially with m43 lenses) is much sharper than the HMC150. If you use the GH2 for wide shots, and the HMC150 for close ups, you can mask it. Or soften the GH2 a bit in post. If you cut between similar shows, the detail difference does stand out a bit. I own both. Definitely shoot neutral, lower saturation settings on both. The more vibrant settings really do not match at all, and it'll be extremely difficult trying to match em' in post.

+1

The sharpness difference is quite significant. Also GH2 shadow noise is much lower than the HMC-150.
