Is the dvx100b that much better than the canon gl2???

I have a bit of a dilema. I saw a gl2 for $1,300 used, and the dvx100b is like $2,500. I have the money for the dvx100b which is probably what i'll be getting next weekend. But I was wondering if you think the dvx100b is worth the extra $1,200.what would you do?. Would you buy the GL2 used from a credible dealer, and save the $1,200 or would you spend the extra $1,200 for the dvx100b? I was thinking I could buy some nice glass for the GL2 since it has interchangable lens and get sharper picture than with the dvx100b lens. I know that's how it works with photography (which is my first love/hobby). Any suggestions? What would you do if it were you?

OK so i guess it doesn't have interchangable lens. but is it worth the extra $1,200 I guess is the main question.

Read the thread David linked for you. The DVX is a much better camera and you can get one for less than $2500 - mine was under 2k with just 10hours on the meter.

Yeah someone just offered me one. But how do I know what I'm buying actually works? How do I know everything is on the up and up.

How do u know if its on the up and up?? Research properly the person ur buying from. Many users on this board have bought dvx's from other users here for much less that $2500. Check the marketplace section. Beware of new members...or inactive members...and their track record of selling here, and feedback from people they sold to. I'd stay away from ebay for sumthing like this.

However that said the safest bet is from an authorized dealer. I got mine from speccom and had to send ot for repairs last week for what I thought was a small prob. Turns out it was a $750 fix!! Luckily I'm still under warrenty. Phew.
