Is the dvx a good OUTDOOR camera??

I've been learning how good this cam is in indoor environments and how to adjust certain manual settings to achieve the best picture. But can all of this be taken outside and receive the same best results?......I heard the picture can become a little tinted and grainer. That would just kill me if I decided to purchase this camera since most my work would be outdoor settings and I want rich vibrant colors!

This camera paints like no other! it actually has a painterly look, it's beautiful. Can it shoot outside?....yes.

Check out some of the clips by disjecta and see.

gorgeous outside. It only becomes grainy from a lack of light, like any digital imaging device....

Yes, I concur with 10s and Barry, disjecta is the king of outdoor dvxography. I, on the other hand, am the king of making up words :)

I wish that I weren't going out of town tomorrow morning, because I'd like to post some clips of a spec commercial that I shot here in the very bright sunlight of Arizona. It was the first time using my DVX and it was impressive to say the least. When I get back in town I'll try and learn how to post clips and such. I didn't think the camera would be good outside, for some reason and I was definitely wrong. I can't wait to see what the next generation of this camera will do given that this thing is so good as is.

jesus christ.... this thing is the best outside. god can i say how i love how it paints greens, jesus it's beautiful. wait, did i say beautiful? i meant ridiculously satisfying!
