Is the C300mkII flopping vs the FS7 at rental? (from EOSHD)

im a huge fan of small cube cameras - bmc micro, Alexa mini, even canon make one that everyone has forgotten

Dld
i own an ex1 - I find that 'camcorder' form pretty challenging

One may note that arri have a thin tight shoulder camera and a cube - I'd say they have done some thinking

the sony and canon do not have a design rationale that I ihderstand - the panny is just a bit lumpy but I still want one :)

The C line is designed to be handheld. Right hand on the grip. Left hand cradling the front of the camera with fingers controlling the focus. A shoulder strap can be used to let the camera hang around the shoulder or used as an extra point of contact. You can also use the viewfinder and then it is basically being used like a photography camera. The EX1 is similar, although I never felt comfortable with that camera.

So, yes, the cinema line was not designed to be used as a shoulder cam.
