So all last week the Switronix website was down for "maintenance" and now it just doesn't come up at all. No one answers the phone and messages go unanswered. I fear the worst. I have a battery of theirs that is acting up and I'm wondering if I'm just hosed.

Anybody have any inside info on Switronix?

cheers

They have changed their name to SWIT.....here is the new web site:

Hey Jim, they are two unrelated companies (easy to get confused). SWIT is China based, with offices in US and other countries.

Yup I saw it a few days ago, but there is no news release that I could find... wondering if there is a change of ownership taking place?
Normally for a name change I would expect something more, and the old website to be forwarded.

They changed to Core SWX, partly to get away from the confusion with SWIT and to rebrand themselves as they continue to move 'up-market'. It was definitely an abrupt change. Dealers received a notice, but I don't believe customers did. I even went through my spam folder and didn't see anything. You would think they would have their old website working to forward people to the new one for a little while, at least.

Something else interesting that I stumbled across last week: an auction for a sale of their old trade name, logo, website, inventory(batts & chargers), phone number and furniture and fixtures. I also found a listing from another auction company dating back to May and it says it's closed. And I was just dealing with them directly on something as recently as August, I believe.
