Is Sony 60GB HDD compatible with DVX100b?

I'm surprised no one seems to know. I'm fairly certain
a Firestore will work the a DVX100b? How about the Sony?

Anyone?

Hmm... I can only guess that he Sony portable hard drive is not that well known. This is the first time I haven't received any responses to a question.

Decision made! Better safe than sorry :)

Are you too lazy to google yourself? Here: http://ws.sel.sony.com/PIPWebServic...9/original/HardDiskDrive_PHU-60K_11-14-08.PDF

"The PHU-60K does not have -- and does not need -- transport controls, record time displays or multiple inputs and outputs. The unit simply plugs into a media slot on the host camcorder or deck, where it is recognized as if it were just another memory card! All read, write and file access operations are controlled by the host recorder."

Do you have an SxS media slot on your DVX?

Maybe you meant the HVR-DR60? Indeed, it is connected via FireWire. It supports a whole bunch of older Sony camcorders, so I would think it should work with the DVX, but B&H has the following note on their site: "This item will not record video unless connected to a compatible Sony camcorder. This version works for Windows-based computers." http://ws.sel.sony.com/PIPWebServic...riginal/HVRDR60_guide_to_supported_models.pdf

Was the insult really necessary?

That is not, to the best of my knowledge, what this forum is all about.

Such an innocent question. Such a nasty response.

I'm sorry if I offended you.
