Have been experimenting with 1080 24Pa and have noticed every fourth frame(i think) has a strange mangled line going halfway across the top of the frame,approx 7 lines thick.Have included pdf image.Is this a flagged frame or is the sensor playing up?Also have tried to extract 24P footage in after effects using all of the 24P pulldown setting in the interperet footage box and there is always a repeated frame plus the strange mangled ones mentioned above.

Yeah, that looks like a problem. What results are you getting in 720? Have you checked to see what this footage looks like in your NLE or P2 Viewer?
 
By the way the photo(wire frame of electric fan) is an enlargement of part of the top frame.it shows up in P2 viewer as well as vegas and after effects.it seems to be a problem with any Progressive footage with advanced pulldown because it shows up to a lesser degree with 480 24Pa footage.it doesn't seem to show up with 1080 24P or 1080 60i modes.I just thought it might have been marked frames that are removed later but it seems all is not right.oh dear.If you look closely it looks like parts of the image are actually ofset on the wire mesh of the electric fan. Strange.

How about in your editing program? Do you have the same problem after removing pulldown?
