Is realtime jpeg playback possible in FCP?

[Drcoffee]

Are there any plugins / updates to allow for realtime jpeg editing in FCP?

[NoahK]

In what sense? JPEG- image sequences, photo-JPEG video clips? Depends on your hardware more than anything.

photo-jpeg, seems really jumpy on a 8-core 8gig macpro

What media drives are you using?

Also, how much RAM do you have? Do you RT set to Unlimited or Safe?

[adkimery]

Do your Sequence settings match your clip settings exactly? Assuming everything is setup properly you should be able to play back Photo-Jpeg, but it's not a 'blessed' codec so you won't get any RT functionality.

Are you there?
