Is Premiere worthless?

I have to say that premier is way better than final cut pro.
I used it for projecting over a theatre performance, and the editing was hell because in final cut you cant see the effects untill after u spend forrever rendering.

okay, so what's the solution then. If you can't export over 4 gig, how do you get the movie out in chunks and put it back together so it can become a quicktime file? I don't have sorenson squeeze. Any other options?

oh, I do have Quicktime Pro.

c.g., if you can not export the chunks and rebuild them in the relevant encoding app(s), perhaps try QT JPEG 2000 codec at 100% quality. I know it is compressed and this does not answer your question, I can not comment on how to load multiple chunks that make up the complete project.

Ultimately for an Artist (regardless of the medium he/she is working in) it is about "expression" not equipment.....content is so much more important than the app used to create it...I have used Premiere for years...currently as part of the Production studio premium package...bloody amazing in my book....but whatever rubs your lamp...just keep creating:thumbup:
cheers

Use Huffyuv as compression. It's a lossless compression, so the quality of your movie won't degrade. Maybe that way you'll get it down to 4GB.
