Is my transcoding frozen?

I haven't used FCP in about 6months and I'm trying to transcode an 8min clip shot on my GH13 in 1080p. I selected the youtube settings which was 1280x720p and it had an eta of 40min.

Currently the time remaining is 2hr 36minutes and it keeps slowly rising minute by minute, the duration is 1hr 13minutes. The exported file on my desktop just sits at 4kb.

What do you guys think?

What codec, and frame rate is the 8 min clip shot from the GH13?

Are you attempting to transcode h.264 1080/60i to YT 1280x720 24p?

I have a similar problem with transcoding in Compressor sometimes. It gives a ridiculous time estimation (2 hours to convert a 2 minute clip on an 8 core 16GB Mac?) and usually never actually finishes transcoding, giving a general error which yields little information when searched on google.

I'm unsure if this is the same for you, but my suggestion would be to use MPEG Streamclip (or Magic Bullet Grinder, etc.) to convert your footage, and the Export using Quicktime Conversion tool for outputting your edit from FCP. This way you'll avoid having to use Compressor as much as possible.
