Can someone help?

Im new to HD work flow and have just received an 8gb P2 card and a 60gb P2 HDD.....
I have shot some footage, put it onto the 60gb P2 HDD and now want to load it onto my MacBook pro.....
I have loaded the 'contents folder' and 'last clip' onto my desktop...... I have also loaded this onto an external 180gb drive....... and as a backup, loaded them both onto a 1 terabite drive.

and here is where my issue starts........

I have no software on my mac to view the footage..... the only software i have is Imovie HD...... So..... how do I know for sure that the footage I have loaded onto my mac and Hard Drives is all good? I need to delete the footage off my P2 card to shoot some more but am scared to do that when i am unable to see the footage on my computer to know for sure it is there........

what should I do? If I loaded both files onto my computer should it be ok? Can I format the P2 card and start filming more?

thanks for your help

On the Mac you'll need FCP 5.1 or P2 Log Pro in order to be able to do anything at all with the footage... not just view it, but also be able to edit it, etc. You can't view that footage on a Mac without one of those products.

Your "free" alternative is to install WinXP under Boot Camp on your Intel Mac; then you could use the free P2 Viewer program to view your footage and know it's "good".
